Enjoy a Digger Jays Week-End foraging excursion. Family oriented Full Week-End excursions are 2 days in length, Saturday and Sunday.
Week-end trips include one overnight primitive camping with campfire cooking and campfire fellowship time.

    Let's go camping while we talk and learn about what mother nature offers us. Passing along these incredibly fun filled adventures gathering wild edibles make for a wonderful time.

    Saturday morning in Verona our trip will begin at 10:00AM. We will travel approximately an hour and half to our primitive campsite and set up camp. Once Camp is set we will do a simple walk about looking and collecting wild edibles. Then we will prepare our evening meal, relax, and enjoy some fellowship around the campfire.

    Sunday morning we will enjoy coffee and breakfast at 8:00AM. Once breakfast is finished we will begin another walk about at 10:00AM hunting and gathering some seasonal wild edibles. We will pack sandwiches so we can have lunch in the woods and continue foraging until 3:00 PM when we will return to camp. Once we return to camp we will pack up and head for home while keeping the memories of our outdoor experience.

    We even show you how to cook and prepare some fine wild edibles dishes over an open campfire.
